According to Peeter Smitt, Nortal's head of the Middle East region, the project will help Oman reform its processes connected to foreign labor. "It is an e-government project that will give the ministry better tools and will affect the whole business environment in Oman," Smitt said.

The work will begin on March 2nd and it is planned to get the system ready in two years. The cost of the project is € 9.38 million.

Nortal has also developed Oman's Invest Easy business portal that combines the country's 76 e-services.
