This week, Estonia, one of the most vibrant startup ecosystems on Earth, will introduce its smooth and bureaucracy-free business opportunities in Brazil. At three events powered by e-Recidency and Startup Estonia, you will learn how to set up a company online in just 15 minutes and start your go-global success story from here.

You certainly have heard about startup-wonderland Estonia, a country with the highest number of unicorns, startups and investments per capita in Europe and one of the world’s fastest and most vibrant ecosystems. But did you know that it takes you 15 minutes to start a company in Europe 100% online via Estonian e-Residency? Or that Startup Estonia provides you with Startup Visa and the Scale Up Visa with the flexibility to hire or even move to Europe after establishing your startup in Brazil.

Startup Estonia and e-Recidency are in Brazil this week to make all these Estonian superpowers more reachable in Brazil. At the three events, e-Residents from Brazil share their experience about expanding their opportunities through their European company. Startup founders will share his journey to Estonia. The associate lawyers will guide how to answer about the precautions when opening a company in Estonia while in Brazil. Whether an e-Resident or not, you are welcome to meet the e-Residency and Startup Estonia teams for drinks, food and networking.

Speakers

Karen V. Ordones, CEO of Todur.Id, was the program’s youngest female e-Resident in 2015 and raised over €7 million in Estonia. She was born in São Paulo, Brazil and is the founder & CEO of the Estonian platform Tutor.id. Her passion for the educational field was inherited by many generations of teachers in her family. Tutor.id was initially born to help teachers manage their private tutoring business, and today it has become a marketplace with a presence in 119 countries.

Edilson Osório, CEO of OriginalMy, is a computer scientist, professor, and specialist in information security and infrastructure, developing projects using open source since 1995. He became an e-Resident and opened his company in 2018 in Estonia. Months later, he applied and became one of the first startups on the then-new Startup Visa managed by Startup Estonia. Thus, he physically settled in the country. OriginalMy.com was the first Brazilian company to use blockchain technology as a protocol to cryptographically record, authenticate and certify identities, contracts and other digital documents directly on various public and private blockchains.

Annika Järs, Statup Estonia. Annika’s mission at Startup Estonia is to help people with everything related to Startup Visa and Foreign Affairs. She has experience in tourism and event management and always likes to accept challenges. Annika hopes to showcase her great communication skills, adaptability, and positivity to enhance the startup ecosystem. She enjoys meeting new people, eating good food and travelling the world.

Taiz Coe, e-Resident. Born in Belo Horizonte, Taiz is an enthusiast of innovation and everything about a world without borders. In recent years, she has lived in Germany, Spain and France; she was part of startups and became an executive in the telecommunications sector. She was an e-Resident before moving to Estonia and working in the most beloved department of the Estonian government. Currently, she coordinates the important alliances between institutions and government agencies and the private sector in Europe and LatAm in the face of the growth of e-Residency.
