The prestigious speakers list included Carl Bildt, the former prime and foreign affair’s minister of Sweden, currently representing European Council of Foreign Relations and Alexander Stubb, the former prime minister of Finland, currently the director of European University Institute. From Estonia the prime minister Jüri Ratas participated in the discussion “Innovation – how can we create a regional innovation ecosystem in northen Europe to maintain global competitiveness in the future?”
Jüri Ratas stated in his speech that Sweden together with Finland are the largest investors and Estonia’s largest export markets. Estonia is home to numerous Swedish companies who see the enefits of regionalized production. He also described how Estonia has coped with the pandemic and about Estonian e-health opportunities. He concluded his speech with suggesting different possibilities and opportunites how Estonia and Sweden could work even more closely together.
Estonian Investment Agency had its virtual booth at the conference where the representatives of EIA gave many answers and had fruitful discussions.
