Gamescom, a colossal gathering of gaming enthusiasts and professionals, brings over 370,000 attendees in Cologne, Germany this week. Estonia is set to make it big. Famous for its instant classic, “Disco Elisium”, a role-playing game developed by an Estonian studio ZA/UM, the country is now ready to present even more ideas and projects, both at the main stage and a side event.
First, Sandra Särav, Deputy Secretary General for Economy and Innovation at Estonian government, will be talking on the main stage of at Gamescom Congress with Marten Palu, CEO of Gamecan. Their 30-min discussion, titled “Game Industry Reality Check” will dive into the critical challenges currently facing the game industry, including mass lay-offs, poor communication, and production stress.
