The AI boom continues with one more success story from Estonia. Founded by an e-Resident, led by a remote-first team, and legally based in Tallinn, BetterPic just raised $2.5M in seed funding to expand its AI-powered photography tools. The funding came from MOC Capital and Shilling VC, along with investors from the tech and fashion industries.
The company offers two main services:
- BetterPic: Upload a few selfies, and their AI creates professional headshots that look like they were taken in a high-end studio.
- BetterStudio: For fashion brands and retailers, this platform creates product photos using AI-generated fashion shoots. Companies can showcase their clothing on virtual models or create “AI twins” of real models.
According to its press release, the company has been profitable from day one and has already proven its technology at scale. Since launching in 2024, it has generated 32 million images and over $3.2M in projected annual revenue. It boasts Fortune 500 clients and double-digit monthly growth throughout the past year.

BetterPic team
What’s the appeal? Traditional professional photography is expensive and time-consuming. A fashion photoshoot can cost anywhere from $10,000 to $50,000 when you factor in models, photographers, stylists, equipment, and studio rentals.
BetterPic claims its AI solution can reduce these costs by up to 100 times while delivering results in a fraction of the time. Unlike other AI image generators, BetterPic focuses specifically on professional and commercial photography needs. Their key innovation is the “Verified AI twins” program under their BetterModels label, which creates AI versions of real models while following strict legal and ethical guidelines.
“We built BetterPic to be profitable from day one, and now with this investment, we can double down — scaling our new B2B recurring offerings,” says founder and CEO Ricardo Ghekiere.
