“Aviation is a rising sector in Estonia: it is a lot more than just direct connections and passenger transportation,” said Kristo Reinsalu, the head of the Aviation cluster. “The cluster connects companies active in the aviation value chain beginning with airports and airlines, continuing with maintenance, IT, logistics and transportation and ending with the tourism sector. Currently, aviation forms about 3 per cent of the Estonian GDP. This is about twice the volume of the timber sector, for example. The cluster will help to raise this to five per cent, at least.”
The cluster currently includes comapies such as Tallinna Lennujaam (Tallinn and regional airports), Tallinn Airport GH, Nordic Aviation Grupp, Magnetic MRO, Fort Aero, Axinom Eesti, Airest, NA Advisory, Pakker Avio, Skeleton Technologies, Operose Labs, Nordic Aircraft Service, Ospentos International and Threod Systems.
