Estonian DefenceTech startup SensusQ has secured €3.8M in funding from US-based New North Ventures and angel investors. Founded by Marko Kaseleht (a veteran of 6 combat tours) and Villiko Nurmoja in 2020, the company uses AI technology to merge data from sources such as UAVs and cyber events for defence purposes.
The funding will be used to grow the team and address market needs, while also providing strategic support and a global network to enhance intelligence systems for swift decision-making in military operations and other sectors.
SensusQ offers three main categories of value: collection, data exploitation and analysis, and reporting and dissemination. Users can integrate external and internal sources, from social media and open-source feeds to sensors and mobile app reports. SensusQ also includes AI tools that can summarize data and translate incoming data. Additionally, the platform offers customizable user access and control features to protect data and monitor activity.
SensusQ seamlessly integrates with current processes to enhance decision-making through real-time access to crucial information. Created by a team with extensive defence and intelligence backgrounds, it uses ML/AI to address challenges in intelligence and decision-making software. Catering to NATO and Ukraine, the company aims to empower decision-makers with the confidence and insight required for successful decision-making.
Besides Estonia, the startup is also increasing its presence in the UK. In 2023, the company has opened a branch there, focusing on sales and marketing operations.
“We are excited to partner with SensusQ, an emerging global leader in data management innovation, as they pioneer creative solutions in an increasingly data-driven world,” said New North Ventures co-founder and General Partner Jeremy Hitchcock to tech.eu.
“The deployment of SensusQ technology in Ukraine has resulted in an increased demand for our intelligence system in allied countries, delivering to which we will be focusing on in the upcoming year. The knowledge and assistance provided by New North Ventures will undoubtedly aid us in fulfilling the increasing demand more efficiently,” says SensusQ CEO Marko Kaseleht.
In Estonia, there’s innovation aplenty, and an evident deep desire to go all out for a more secure world. Send your request for e-Consulting and an advisor will reach out to help you line up investment opportunities.
