Latitude59 unveils full programme, including live podcast with Kaja Kallas

Latitude59, is back with a €1M startup competition, high-level speakers, and 4 unique stages for discussions on DeepTech, sustainability, and the future. Don't miss out, grab your tickets for Tallinn, May 22-24!

Latitude59 is one of the Nordics’ biggest tech event for a reason. In fact, for quite a few of them: thousands of attendees, a €1M prize fund for startup competition and high-level speakers all gather in Tallinn for a three-day conversation. 2024 is no different, with even more surprises now revealed.

This year’s Latitude59 conference has the overarching themes of Connection & Responsibility. The centrepiece of the event will be four distinct stages, each offering a unique perspective. And now the full programme is published, so let’s have a glimpse of the upcoming discussions.

The Bold Stage will be a platform for visionary discussions on DeepTech, sustainability, fostering global connections, and achieving diversity within the tech industry. Expect to hear from industry leaders and changemakers who are pushing the boundaries and building a more inclusive ecosystem, including Sten Tamkivi (co-founder of Plural Platform), Margus Uudam (founder and partner at Karma Ventures), Martin Vares (co-founder of Fractory) and dozens of other changemakers. What’s even more impressive, the stage will host an opening show with words by Latitude59 CEO Liisi Org and President of Estonia Alar Karis.

Entrepreneurship also takes centre stage at the Founder Stage. Here, inspiring founder stories, interactive discussions, and the return of popular segments. The Late Afternoon Show, featuring high-profile guests like Taavet Hinrikus (co-founder of Wise and Plural Platform), promises to be a highlight, featuring international founders sharing their experiences, while Pitch Confidential will bring back the candid conversations with VCs that attendees loved last year.

Looking towards the next decades and centuries, The Future Stage will focus on the latest groundbreaking technologies like generative AI, biosynthetics, and quantum computing. The stage will also explore broader societal themes, examining how technology will impact future urban environments, redefine nightlife experiences, and reshape the future of work in the age of digital nomads. Some exciting guests include Bianca Ambrosini from Best Nights VC, the investment arm of Jägermeister, where she invests in early-stage startups operating in nightlife and more broadly in social and entertainment.

And now to one more big surprise. At this year’s Latitude59 event, Taavi Kotka and Henrik Roonemaa will be recording a live episode of their popular podcast “Ettemõte.” They are hosting Kaja Kallas, Prime Minister of Estonia, who will be answering questions from the startup community and discussing Estonia’s growth. Have questions on Estonia, the world, the economy, startups, or any other topic? Suggest them here.

Finally, The Pitching Stage, powered by Google, will be a platform for the region’s brightest startups to showcase their innovations. With Google’s backing, this stage promises to be a launchpad for emerging talent and ideas.

While there are no more some surprises under wraps, the agenda promises to bring together leading thinkers, visionaries, and changemakers to spark curiosity, provoke thought, and tackle the big questions facing our future. The conference will take place on May 22-24, 2024 in Tallinn, so be sure to grab your tickets and join the conversation!
