„The government has set a goal of bringing investments with high added value to the country and to help companies raise their productivity, so that Estonia’s people can enjoy better working conditions and higher salaries all over the country,” Tammist added.
A good example of a German investment in Estonia is HHLA’s expansion to Northern Europe which was accomplished via acquiring a share of an Estonian company. “The role of Enterprise Estonia is finding out the needs of the entrepreneurs and helping them look for partners in Estonia, creating value propositions for them and arranging meetings,” Alo Ivask, the Head of Enterprise Estonia said. The size of HHLA’s initial investment project was € 50 million.
During an annual event for German, Austrian and Swiss companies, more than 30 entrepreneurs already present in Estonia or planning to expand here, participated in a seminar-dinner, found out more about the Work in Estonia programme and visited the International House of Estonia.
