In terms of regular passenger traffic, the Old City Harbour is one of the traffic leaders in the world. Round the year regular lines from Tallinn to Helsinki, Stockholm and St. Petersburg are served. Two passenger terminals – Terminal A and Terminal D – service ferry passengers. The harbour also handles Ro-Ro.
Tallinn is a popular and one of the highest rated cruise destinations in the Baltic Sea with the Old City Harbour servicing over half a million cruise passengers each year. There is a separate cruise area in the Old City Harbour for servicing cruise passengers.
Old City Marina is also a part of the harbour complex. This modern marina serves recreational vessels and is sheltered from strong winds and waves.
The development plans of the Old City Harbour are aimed at establishing a complete integrated multifunctional district into the active harbour area, taking into consideration the seaport-specific intrinsic requirements.
