Tartu University Narva College, located in Narva, East Estonia, is a regional faculty of University of Tartu. It focuses mainly on the preparation of teachers for Estonian schools with Estonian as well as Russian as the language of instruction.
The College carries out research into the issues of multi-cultural society, relations between national minorities, Slavonic and Estonian language contacts, multilingualism, and inter-cultural communication. Since the main task of the College is to give pedagogical education, it also deals with developing methods of language teaching, comparing different methodological schools of language teaching, different researches in the fields of pre-school and school education, psychology and social pedagogy.
