Tallinn-based Display.dev has raised €470,000 in pre-seed funding to build infrastructure for AI-generated documents. The round was backed by Outlast Fund, FIRSTPICK, Curiosity VC and angel investor Henrik Bohman, Wise’s first product manager. Founded in April 2026 by former Pipedrive employees Ott Ilves and Carl Rannaberg, who first met there more than a decade ago, the startup wants to make AI-produced work easier to publish, share and revise inside teams.
The idea grew out of a practical problem. AI agents can already generate large amounts of content in HTML and Markdown, but many teams still lack a simple way to collaborate on that output once it leaves the model interface. Display.dev turns each document into a shareable URL where colleagues can review, comment and follow updated versions.
Building a document layer for agent-generated work
Display.dev says its platform is model-agnostic by design. A document started in Cursor can be continued in Codex and refined in Claude Code, giving users flexibility at a time when models and agent tools are evolving quickly. The company is positioning itself as a neutral collaboration layer rather than a tool tied to a single AI provider.
That pitch speaks to a broader market gap. AI agents are already generating code, analysis and business content at scale, yet much of that productivity still struggles to fit neatly into day-to-day company workflows. Display.dev is betting that document infrastructure will be one of the missing pieces that helps businesses turn agent output into usable work.
A new approach to pricing
Launched in May 2026 and headquartered in Tallinn, Display.dev is also taking a different approach to pricing. Instead of charging per seat, it uses company-based pricing, which the founders argue makes collaboration on AI-generated output more economical for organisations of different sizes.
The new funding is expected to help the company expand the product as businesses look for better ways to manage, review and reuse work created by AI agents.
