Tallinn-based Sera AI has secured €1.5M in seed funding to expand its AI-powered sales automation platform internationally, reports Baltic Startups. The round was led by Maki VC, with participation from Specialist VC, Ready Player Me co-founder Kaspar Tiri, and Bolt founder Markus Villig.
Sera develops an AI sales agent that automates B2B prospecting, research, and personalised outreach. Unlike volume-focused spam tools, Sera prioritises precision and qualification, working across a database of over one billion contacts at 300+ million companies.
The platform identifies potential buyers, conducts background research, and sends unique communications in multiple languages, thus eliminating the repetitive tasks that typically consume 15+ hours per week for sales teams.
Sera is already used by tech companies including Bolt, Ready Player Me, and Montonio. The platform has proven particularly valuable for mid-sized manufacturing firms reliant on exports, helping clients secure international partnerships worth millions in additional revenue, the company says.
According to co-founder and CEO Sergio Rannula, Sera delivers 5× higher qualification rates (percentage of prospects that meet your ideal customer criteria) than industry standards by “thinking like a human salesperson, not a spam bot.”
The fresh capital will fuel marketing efforts and international expansion as Sera aims to become the dominant AI sales agent globally. “Today, Sera is already the leading AI sales agent on the market,” said co-founder and CTO Karl Maaroos. “Our next step is to surpass the world’s top human sales specialists — it’s only a matter of time.”
