Tallinn-based AI career-agent company Roleo has raised €2.9M to develop its product and expand across European markets.
The round was led by Practica Capital, with participation from Inventure and technology investors, writes The Recursive. The raise brings Roleo’s total funding to €3.46M.
Roleo was founded by Janer Gorohhov, co-founder and CEO, and Vahur Hansen, co-founder. Gorohhov previously co-founded identity-verification company Veriff, while Hansen was an early engineer at Wise.
Roleo makes the job market work in the background
The company is developing a personal AI career agent for technology professionals. The service learns about each user’s experience, professional goals, salary expectations and preferences, then monitors the European technology market for relevant opportunities.
Instead of requiring users to search job boards, network constantly or submit applications, the agent surfaces a small number of relevant roles and can connect candidates directly with hiring managers. The service is free for professionals, while Roleo plans to monetise the employer side by giving hiring managers access to qualified passive candidates.
Roleo says its agent evaluates hundreds of thousands of opportunities each week and typically presents three relevant options to each user. Since January 2026, users have explored 30,000 opportunities surfaced by the platform. Its users include professionals from Google, Amazon, Stripe and Spotify.
“Most people spend years building their careers, but only actively manage them when something goes wrong… We believe everyone should have a personal active career agent that understands what they want, keeps an eye on the market, and brings relevant opportunities to them,” Janer Gorohhov, co-founder and CEO of Roleo, said.
Building a two-sided career platform
The funding will support further development of the AI career agent and expansion across European markets, initially targeting technology professionals and companies. Users remain in control of their visibility and data, according to the company.
Donatas Keras, partner at Practica Capital, said: “We saw potential in the Roleo founders – their proven operational experience and grounded, yet very high ambition… we believe they are the team best positioned to set a new standard for how people build their careers.”
The round also includes angel investment from Markus Villig, founder and CEO of Bolt, and Kristina Lilleõis, CPO at Hedosophia. Villig said: “I’ve watched Janer build Veriff and I know what Vahur did at Wise. Both know first-hand how hard it is to find and hire great people across Europe.”
Lilleõis said: “So much talent is missed because the best candidates aren’t actively applying… Roleo fixes both sides of that: it brings people roles they’d never have found on their own, and brings employers candidates they’d never have reached.”
