Latitude59, Estonia’s biggest annual tech and startup conference, is coming back with a new milestone. This week, the event organizers announced a Pitch Competition with a prize fund of up to one million euros – the biggest of its kind in the Baltic region. Aside from luring in even more startups, the new prize fund will ensure plenty of opportunities for investors. Attracting investors from all kinds of venture funds and other institutions from South Africa to Norway and the US to Singapore, the conference also hosts a separate Investor Day.
Last year, Latitude59 celebrated its 10th birthday, attracting more than 800 entrepreneurs and 300 investors among 2500 attendees. Nearly 3,000 participants, including 800 startup representatives and 400 investors, are expected to attend the event on May 24-26, 2023.

Competing in a big way
Andrus Oks, Founding Partner of Tera Ventures, explains that the competition’s goal is to “discover world-class founders who are addressing large pain points and building impactful products, to support them on their journey of growing into a global leader in their field.” “Latitude59 is bolder than ever this year”, he adds.
Martin Goroško, the Lead Investor of EstBAN, agrees that new times require bold solutions. He encourages startups with unique and value-adding technology that are making an impact on the world to apply for the competition.
Selected teams will advance to the semi-finals and receive professional pitch training, with the finals taking place on the main stage of the Latitude59 startup conference on May 26, 2023.
Latitude59’s CEO, Liisi Org, emphasizes the importance of innovation in addressing the world’s challenges and encourages startups to take this opportunity to make a small but significant step towards changing the world. “We need to be bold in our discussions and the search for solutions to the era’s greatest challenges – innovation is essential, so startups resonating with it, step forward,” Liisi Org encourages.
