sTARTUp Day 2022 will take place at the University of Tartu Sports Centre (Ujula 4a, Tartu, Estonia) as well as online. The tree-days festival brings to the stage around 160 speakers, hundreds of startups and investors, and more than 3,000 participants.
„We believe in a startup mindset – it’s about getting things done, no matter what, getting yourself back on track after failing, and always dreaming as big as possible. That’s the startup mindset,” says Märt Lättekivi, the head organizer of sTARTUp Day 2022. And you can be pretty sure that you will meet that mindset at the sTARTUp Day this year as well.
The sTARTUp festival is amazing – I just can’t believe how well organised it is! I mean it’s like I’m in New York or London,” says Hermione Way, founder of Offsettr and Tinder’s former Head of European Communications.

Inspiring success stories and new perspectives
In addition, sTARTUp Day organizes an exclusive meetup, Investor Day, to share experiences and learn from each other.
On August 24, Bonnie Roupé, the first female founder of an IPO company in Sweden, founder of Bonzun, will talk about FemTech. She is a pioneer in the field of digital health and launched her first app for blood testing in 2014. Her virtual midwife is listed as an innovation with a large impact by WHO. Bonnie early saw the need for health applications focused on solving global issues and has over the past 10 years played a significant role in laying the ground for what today is digital health. The latest addition is an internet-based KBT therapy focusing on reducing stress.
Patrick Flesner, Partner and Growth Capital Investor at Lead X Capital Partners, and the author of the FastScaling book, will share his experiences with thousands of tech companies wanting to raise capital and accelerate growth.
And of course, the main program will offer new perspectives and inspiring success stories for everyone. Starting with making something from nothing to building deep tech startups, eVTOLs, space tourism and mental health.
From creating connections to spotting the most promising startups
As sTARTUp Day is all about connecting startups and investors, as well as putting startups to the test, there will be non-stop pitching competitions at the sTARTUp pitching stage. As the highlight, the sTARTUp Pitching Powered by EstBAN will reveal the best startups in the region.
On August 25, the TOP 40 of 3,000+ participated startups will step up at the pitching stage, and the next day, the TOP 5 will be announced on the main stage. A great chance to spot promising startups and find the missing piece from the portfolio.
