Taavi Kotka and Starship Technologies among Europe’s 100 digital champions of the Financial Times

The Financial Times listed 100 European leaders and influencers, both companies and individuals, both behind the scenes and in the public eye. Two digital leaders, one person and one company from Estonia made the list.

Taavi Kotka has been listed as one of the key individuals. He is Estonia’s first ever chief information officer and the force behind turning the country into a pioneering digital nation, The Financial Times writes.

Starship Technologies is listed as a new technology / business model. Starship is a delivery robots company founded by the members of the original development team that created Skype. Their small robots are designed to move along pavements at a pedestrian speed and navigate around people and objects using GPS, ultrasonic sensors, radar and cameras. Those awaiting a package can monitor the robot’s journey on a smartphone.
