fDi Magazine published by Financial Times included Tallinn in top ten in two of its lists of European Cities of the future 2016/2017. In the overall ranking of business friendliness and economic potential Tallinn finished 4th among mid-size European cities, Zurich being the first. Tallinn also made the top ten in the business friendliness category.
The fDi lists are compiled every two years. Tallinn has also been included in one or more of the top 10 lists in 2012 and 2014 but the 4th place in the overall list is the highest ever for the city.
The lists are compiled, taking into account more than 90 different statistical indices.
