Well-known Estonian enterpreneurs and companies formed a charity for developing the education system

The charity is aimed at sustainability of Estonia's school system and developing students' skills in science, helping them be more creative and work effectively in teams.

The idea for founding the charity came from Martin Villig, a cofounder of Taxify and Taavet Hinrikus, a cofounder of TransferWise. Cofounders include prominent business leaders such as Viljar Arakas, Ahti Heinla, Norris Koppel, Kristo Käärmann, Rain Lõhmus and Hannes Tamjärv. The funding comes from successful companies such as Civitta, Contriber, Eften, Helmes, Lingvist, Monese, Pipedrive, Superangel, Taxify and TransferWise.

“Capital is not a problem that would stop a good idea in the Estonian start up scene any more. Accelerators, business angels and VC funds all fulfill their roles,” said Villig. “Now we will have to take the same road in social innovation.”
