Estonia is a maritime nation through and through, building innovative ships and even providing a special tax arrangement for seafarers. Now is the time to unlock more cooperation opportunities in the Baltic region. This April, Tallinn will host the Estonian-German Port Forum, with a joint business delegation from Lübeck and Hamburg visiting.
Shared horizons
The Estonian-German Port Forum, which will take place at the Nordic Hotel Forum on April 24, aims to deepen dialogue and explore cooperation opportunities between Estonia’s transport and logistics sector and the German ports of Lübeck and Hamburg.
Participants will address common challenges, ranging from environmental regulations to evolving political and economic developments.
The German delegation will be led by notable figures, including Mr. Jan Lindenau, Mayor of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck, and Dr. Niels Wiecker, Director of Port and Logistics at the Ministry for Economy and Innovation of Hamburg. Attendees can also expect:
- Opening remarks by Erkki Keldo, Estonia’s Minister of Economy and Industry
- Welcome address by Mario Sauder, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. at the German Embassy in Tallinn
- Expert presentations on opportunities and challenges in the transport and logistics sector
- Moderated panel discussion with industry leaders from Germany and Estonia
Full agenda can be found here.
The event will connect representatives from 20+ member delegations, which include executives from major maritime organizations, port authorities, shipping companies, and business chambers.
