Multimek Baltic, an Estonian metal and mechanical-engineering manufacturer, is nearing completion of a €2.1M production and office building in Kehra. The Finnish group’s new facility expands its Estonian production capacity, and Tööstusuudised reported that construction moved ahead of its original schedule.
New production capacity in Kehra
Kaamos Construction says the new building will provide 1,800 square metres of production and office space next to Multimek Baltic’s existing facility. The total project cost, including design work, is €2.1M. Construction was scheduled to begin in January 2026 and was initially expected to finish by the end of the year.
Rinno Saviir, who heads Multimek’s Estonian factory, said: “The additional production facility will allow us to increase production capacity and expand our service portfolio. We will also create more modern working conditions for our employees and improve the factory’s environmental efficiency.”
Keit Paal of Kaamos Ehitus said: “The preparatory work has been thorough and solutions have been found in close collaboration with the client.”
An Estonian base for Finnish industrial supply chains
Multimek Baltic has operated in Kehra since 2012. The local unit manufactures parts and structures that are sent to Finnish factories for final assembly, connecting Estonian production with the wider group’s equipment-manufacturing operations. Its work covers metal products, mechanical processing and components made to customer drawings.
Multimek’s company information says the Kehra plant employs about 145 professionals. The group operates in Finland and Estonia and provides contract manufacturing and mechanical-engineering services for international equipment suppliers, from prototyping and cutting to welding, assembly and logistics.

The new space will support higher production volumes and new technologies while keeping the Estonian plant connected to its Finnish customer base.
