Estonia’s prime air gateway, Tallinn Airport, has once again received prestigious international recognition, winning two major awards in the 2024 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program. It was named “Europe’s Best Airport Serving 2-5 Million Passengers Per Year” and “Most Enjoyable Airport in Europe.”
The ASQ program measures passenger satisfaction based on more than 30 services, including check-in, security, comfort, and cleanliness. It is the world’s leading program for measuring airport customer experience, covering over 400 airports in more than 95 countries.
While ranking Tallinn Airport, travellers highlighted several key advantages:
- Its compact, passenger-friendly terminal
- High-quality service at every touchpoint, from security to gate staff
- Wide range of shopping and dining options
- Modern digital solutions for navigation and information access
- Continuous infrastructure improvements
“We have been consistently investing in the airport to provide the best possible passenger experience, from convenient check-in to the high quality of our other services,” he explained. “These awards show that our efforts have paid off and that our work is very much appreciated by travellers,” says Riivo Tuvike, chairman of the management board of Tallinn Airport.
Recently, the airport has been adding new routes (now at 33 permanent routes) and improving its facilities, adding fully automated baggage sorting and even installing a full-fledged gym in the passenger area.
The efforts—along with a steady rebound of Estonia’s tourism industry—now attract more travellers, with passenger numbers up 8% for February 2025 compared to the previous year. Overall, nearly 3.5M passengers passed through Tallinn Airport last year, the best result ever and an 18% YoY increase.
Tallinn Airport, crowned for several years in a row now, will receive its awards at a ceremony in Guangzhou, China, on September 10.
